Why Don't I Have Auto Captions on TikTok? [Quick Reply]

My TikTok doesn't have the auto-generated captions feature. It's strange because everyone else I know has it. How do I fix it?

You cannot see the auto-caption feature in TikTok because TikTok recently announced the default auto-captions. TikTok automatically activates auto-captions on every eligible clip to help all viewers, including those with hearing difficulties, enjoy the video content better. Creators don't need to enable auto-captions manually.

But fret not; creators are able to edit or delete captions even after posting. Let's see how to add captions as a creator and how to turn on subtitles as a viewer:

  • For TikTok creators: record and upload your video > tap Captions on the side panel> your audio will be transcribed into captions > edit the captions.
  • For TikTok viewers: press and hold on the clip > tap Captions on the popup > toggle on Show captions.

Sometimes, users would like to download interesting videos on TikTok but fail to do so because of permission issues, a poor Internet connection, or other unknown reasons. In this case, they can resort to a TikTok screen recorder: EaseUS RecExperts.

This easy-to-use screen recording utility allows users to record videos on TikTok without watermark on Windows, Mac, or even online. For social media managers, this allows them to record everything they want without lag or a time limit. They can also trim a TikTok video if needed.

Now, download EaseUS RecExperts to your computer and record everything you want in simple steps.
