If you screenshot/screen record someone's TikTok story, will TikTok notify the account?
TikTok doesn't notify the author or others if someone is recording videos or taking screenshots. However, if you are using TikTok's built-in recording feature to capture clips, the resulting video will have a label that shows it came from a recording.
You can use the built-in screen recorder on your phones or tablets to screen record on TikTok without such a label.
☛ To find it, go to your notification screen, swipe down the items, and you can see the recording tool (red or white dot). Then, you can use it to screen record TikTok without watermark.
If you are the original author and do not want viewers to screenshot or record your videos, you can limit the view permission to your followers. However, your followers still have access to recording your items. For an alternative solution, you can prevent viewers from downloading them.
☛ To do so, launch TikTok, go to Profile > 3-line icon > Settings and Privacy > Privacy > Downloads > toggle off Video downloads.
If you want to screen record TikTok on Windows PCs, you can try a free screen recorder, EaseUS RecExpert. It lets you capture clips from YouTube, TikTok, Netflix, and whatever platform you use. There is no time limit, no watermark, and no lag.
Download EaseUS RecExpert to your computer and record TikTok safely.
