What Do You Use to Record VR Gameplay?

I was just wondering what some people do to record their gameplay and control that recording software. I have been using OBS myself, but I am just curious about other people's setups. Please share some of your ideas. Thanks.

Nowadays, more and more people are using VR to play games. To share the gameplay with others, you need to record the VR gameplay. I often use EaseUS RecExperts, Xbox Game Bar, and OBS Studio to record VR gameplay.

1. EaseUS RecExperts

EaseUS RecExperts is a game recorder suitable for all users, both novices and professionals. It can be used to capture the VR gameplay after you connect it to your computer. Of course, you need to install EaseUS RecExperts on the computer beforehand. After that, you can follow the simple steps below to start recording:

Step 1. Start the gameplay you want to record and launch EaseUS RecExperts on your PC. Then, select the "Game" mode.

Step 2. You can click on the nut icon and then the "Game" button to change options. Then, click "OK".

Step 3. Go back to the Game mode interface and click "Select Game" to choose the gameplay you want to capture, and click "REC" to start recording. Click on the red "Stop recording" button when you want to finish.

2. Xbox Game Bar

Xbox Game Bar is especially for those who don't want to download third-party programs and are using a computer running Windows 10 or later. This inbuilt screen and audio recorder was initially designed to record gameplay. You can use it to capture any game on your computer screen. Follow the steps to record gameplay with the Game bar:

Step 1. Run the game you want to record and connect your VR to your computer.

Step 2. Press the "Win + G" keys on your keyboard to open the Game Bar. When you see a pop-up window, select "Yes, it is a game".

Step 3. Then, click the red "Start recording" button or press the "Win + Alt + R" keys to start recording. Click on the "Stop recording" button to finish.

3. OBS Studio

OBS Studio is especially recommended to those who want to record with various advanced functions. It also supports streaming your gameplay. You can even record multiple screens and windows at the same time. Check how to use it to record gameplay below:

Step 1. Go to the "Settings" menu and enable the "Display Mirror" option. Then, click the "Main" and select "Both Eyes".

Step 2. Open OBS and click the "+" (plus) sign under "Sources" to choose "Display Capture".

Step 3. Then, select "Create new" and click "OK". Choose the gameplay you want to record and click "OK" again.

Step 4. Click the "Start Recording" button to begin the recording. Then, click the "Stop Recording" option to finish the recording.
