Hi, can anyone tell me if is there any difference in sound between MP3 and WAV? I want to record high-quality audio, but I do not know what kind of audio format I should choose. And can you recommend an excellent audio recorder for me? Thanks in advance.

Hi there!

In response to your question: Is there any difference in sound between MP3 and WAV, I would like to share my own experience with you. Indeed, the audio quality of WAV and MP3 files differs. Although they require more space, WAV files are uncompressed and store audio in a higher quality. Because MP3 files are compressed, they can have smaller file sizes, but the compression—especially at lower bitrates—may result in some audio quality loss.

As for the audio recorders, I recommend an excellent screen and audio recorder for you: EaseUS RecExperts. It can be compatible with Windows and macOS systems, so you do not need to worry about the compatibility issue. You can download this audio recording software to have a try!

EaseUS RecExperts allows users to record high-quality videos as well as audio files. You can choose to record the microphone or the system sound as you like. Before audio recording, you can enter Settings to change the audio format to WAV to obtain high-quality audio files without quality loss. In addition, it also supports recording videos from streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, Disney, and YouTube.

There are some other prominent features of EaseUS RecExperts.

  • This YouTube audio grabber supports almost all file types, including MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, and OGG.
  • You have a choice of multiple bitrates, including 64, 128, 192, or 256 kb/s.
  • You may record high-quality music from Spotify or Apple Music with this music recorder.
  • It allows users to record gameplay without any lag.
