My Zoom live transcription is not showing up. I cannot find the Allow live transcription service setting to transcribe meetings automatically in Zoom. How can I transcribe my Zoom meetings?

A typical reason why Zoom live transcription is not showing is that the live transcription feature is OFF in the meeting settings. Please note that only the Zoom meeting host can enable live transcription.

So how to generate live captions in Zoom meetings?

You can sign into the Zoom web portal with the privilege to edit account settings > click Settings > select Meeting > under the In Meeting (Advanced) tab, activate Automated captions and Full Transcript.

Though it's possible to transcribe Zoom meetings via Zoom's live transcription feature, this feature requires Pro, Business, Education, or Enterprise users to enable it first. What's more, this method might be useless for participants.

If you are bothered by these issues, you can adopt a third-party video-to-text convertor like EaseUS RecExperts to transcribe Zoom meetings in Word or other documents. This professional screen recorder's AI Assistant feature can help you convert Zoom video or audio to text.

In response to your question, please upload your recorded Zoom video to the recordings list of EaseUS RecExperts. Then you'll be ready to transcribe Zoom meetings via this tool.

Please refer to the following steps to generate a transcript of a Zoom video or audio via EaseUS RecExperts.

  • Step 1. Install and launch EaseUS RecExperts > click Recordings on the lower left > click Import to add the Zoom meeting you want to transcribe.
  • Step 2. Right-click on your targeted Zoom meeting > select Edit > click AI Assistant.
  • Step 3. Set the original language of your uploaded Zoom meeting > change the default file location > click Start to begin the transcription service.

You'll automatically Zoom transcripts in Notepad. You can also save these texts in a Microsoft Word or Google Doc file.
