I use a Windows 10 Dell laptop. The webcam works fine and saves photos and videos to Camera Roll, but it stops recording when the file size gets to more than 2GB, which takes 3 hours of recording. Now, I want to record my webcam for a longer period of time. Is there any way to make it?
Hi! According to the official sources, three hours is the maximum limit of video you can record with the Windows Camera app, and there's no way to modify this limitation.
Thus, if you want to record a webcam as long as you want (like 4 hours, 5 hours, 6 hours, etc.), you'd better find and use a third-party professional webcam recorder.
I have used many popular programs on the market for long-term webcam recording, but some are difficult to use (OBS is a representative). Now, the only one I still use is EaseUS RecExperts, as it is easy to use yet powerful. So, I highly recommend this software.
As for EaseUS Screen Recorder, there is no time limit for any recording, meaning you can record as long as you want. Besides, it allows you to record webcam videos with customized backgrounds easily with the help of a green screen, and that means you can replace your background with an image or others easily.
Apart from being a webcam recorder, it also performs excellently in capturing screens. With its aid, you can record streaming videos, capture high-quality gameplay, record online meetings, etc., effortlessly! All in all, this screen and webcam recorder is worth trying.
Here is how to use EaseUS RecExperts for unlimited webcam recording:
Step 1. Launch this tool and choose the camera icon on the left panel.
Step 2. Select the right webcam device and adjust the recording parameters.
Step 3. Once done, click REC to start your webcam recording.
