After doing some research, I was able to locate a ton of videos and forums that explain how to record the computer screen and the facecam simultaneously. In OBS Studio, for instance, that would be a Display Capture and a Video Capture. However, I'm trying to record simultaneously using a facecam and a capture card for a GameCube, which translates to two video recording devices. How can I fix this problem? Thanks in advance.
Hi there! Regarding your question about how to record console gameplay via capture card & facecam simultaneously, I would like to share my experience with you. In fact, OBS can support recording the webcam and the console gameplay via a capture card at the same time. You can follow the steps below.
Step 1. Open OBS Studio and create a new scene. Choose Video Capture Device, and you can select the camera as you like.
Step 2. Open OBS again on the computer desktop, and you will see a pop window that asks you to launch it anyway. Click on Launch Anyway.
Step 3. In the Sources, create a new source by choosing Display Capture. Remember to connect the console gameplay to your computer via a capture card. Then, the gameplay will display on your device.
Step 4. Now, you have two capture windows. You can click Start Recording at the same time. After recording, you will get two separate videos.
However, this method is suitable for users who are inclined to gain two videos separately. If you want to put the webcam in the corner of the gameplay picture. It is suggested that you choose another way: EaseUS RecExperts.
