Unfortunately, the official doesn't allow you to do this. However, you can disable YouTube Shorts with some third-party tools.

Method 1. Use Tweaks for YouTube add-on on PC

This is an extension tool that can be added to your Chrome browser with one click. Add it and follow the steps below to disable YouTube Shorts.

1. 1. Search for the "Tweaks for YouTube" extension on Chrome and add it to Chrome.
2. 2. Go to "Appearance & other features" (the 6 squares at the bottom left).
3. 3. Go to "content filters" and click the ones you want to filter out.

Method 2. Use uBlock Origin on Android Firefox Browser

If you use YouTube on an Android phone, you can use a Firefox add-on to disable Shorts. Follow the steps below:

1. 1. Install Firefox and click on the add-ons in the 3 dotted menu.
2. 2. Search and add "uBlock Origin" to Firefox. Then, go to the YouTube site.
3. 3. When you see a row of shorts, click the add-ons tab and run the "element picker mode" in uBlock Origin.
4. 4. Tap on the row of Shorts and hit "Create". That should block Shorts for you.
