AnsweredIs There A Hotkey for Stopping Recording in Chrome OS?

So if you didn't hear, Chrome OS 88 features built-in screen-recording and a refined screenshot feature with it. So with the new screen-recording feature, is there a hotkey for stopping the recording? Like CTRL+SHIFT+S or something?

Is there a hotkey for stopping recording in Chrome OS? Well, you may try the three ways below.

1. When you are in full-screen mode and you can see the red dot

In this case, the only way to stop recording is to click on the red dot from the bottom right corner of the screen.

2. When you are in full-screen mode and you can't see the red dot

In this case, you can:

  1. 1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Show windows on the keyboard to open the Chrome menu. Then, select Stop recording.
  2. 2. Or, open the Chrome Remote Desktop extension and click on the three dots. Then, select Settings and uncheck the Enable screen recording checkbox.

If the methods above can't solve your problem, try a Windows & Mac screen recorder instead. We suggest you choose EaseUS RecExperts as it is easy to use. Also, it offers all the functions you need to record a browser, game, meeting, movie, sports meeting, etc. No matter how long you want to record, it helps. After recording, you can save it to your device or share it with your friends. What are you waiting for? Click the button below to download it now!
