Can anyone tell me if you can record internal audio natively on macOS Sonoma? Can you perhaps even record your screen with internal audio simultaneously, natively? I really need help!

Hi! It is possible and easy to record system sound or internal audio with macOS Sonoma.

Generally speaking, there are two main ways to get the task done. One easy way is to find and use a professional internal audio recorder, and another way is to use QuickTime Player and Soundflower. In the following, I will expand on these two methods in detail:

Method 1. Use a professional internal audio recorder for Mac

The easiest way to record computer audio on macOS Sonoma is to use an internal audio recorder, like EaseUS RecExperts. This software lets you capture the system sound on almost all Mac models within 3 simple steps. Unlike other tools, you don't need to install other plugins.

Most importantly, this software supports recording screens, audio, and webcams, which means you can even start recording your Mac screen with both microphone and system sound simultaneously. When the recording is over, you can export and save the recordings in your desired file format for later sharing and playback.

Here are the steps to capture internal audio on macOS Sonoma:

  • Install and launch EaseUS RecExperts on your computer.
  • Choose the right audio sources. Here, you need to select the System sound option.
  • Then, you can start recording your Mac's computer audio.

Method 2. Record with QuickTime Player and Soundflower

Another way is to record with QuickTime Player. However, this freeware only supports capturing microphone sound. So, to record system sound with it, you need to install another plugin called Soundflower. This method is more complicated compared to the first.

  • Install Soundflower on your Mac, and set Soundflower (2ch) as the audio source.
  • Open QuickTime Player and click File > New Audio Recording.
  • Then, choose the audio source for your recording and click the record button to start recording.

That's all. I hope you will be satisfied with my answer.
