AnsweredWhat is the Best Bitrate for Recording OBS?

How do I find the best bitrate for recording games on OBS? I usually play games that run 60FPS 1980x1080 idk. What other information do I need to find out about this? Thanks.

Usually, the best bitrate for recording OBS is from 4000 Kbps to 6000 Kbps. Since you are running 60FPS 1980*1080, you'd better use the recording quality presets. Follow the steps below:

  1. 1. Go to "Settings" > "Output" > set the mode to "Simple Output".

  2. 2. Go to the recording section and change the Recording Quality to "Indistinguishable Quality".

  3. 3. Select your encoder. A hardware encoder is recommended.

If you want to upload the recorded video to YouTube, you may render it at 12000kbs for non-HDR and 15000kbs for HDR.

Use an OBS alternative to record High-resolution videos:

If you still can't decide what bitrate to use for OBS recording, try an alternative. EaseUS RecExperts is a good option.
