AnsweredScreen Recording Failed to Save Due to Asset Writer Failing to Save

I'm trying to use the built-in screen recording feature to record the Home app on iPad. Ideally, I could record the system's internal audio, but it won't record any audio unless I turn on the microphone (which records the speakers). Any time I turn on the microphone, no matter how short the duration, I get the following error: screen recording failed to save due to asset writer failing to save. Any ideas on how I can get this to work on iPadOS/iOS 16.3.1?

If you want to record your iPad screen and save the recording without an error, you need to turn off the microphone recording. However, if you want to record the screen with audio (system and microphone sound) on an iPad, you need to try some third-party screen recorders.

Here's a list of third-party iPad screen recording apps to record the screen with audio:

  • Record it!: Screen Recorder
  • DU Recorder
  • TechSmith Capture
  • Screen Recorder +
  • Live Stream Apps & Games
  • Web Recorder

If you want a Mac screen recorder that records audio, try EaseUS RecExperts. This EaseUS screen recorder records the screen along with the internal audio and the microphone sound. And it can be used on any Mac computer running macOS 10.13 and later systems.

The best thing about it is that you can record for an unlimited period of time. After recording, you can edit and manage the video/audio recordings. Screenshotting before, during, and after the recording is also supported. Download and install it now!
