There are mainly two situations:

1. 1. By default, the screen recording files will be saved on your desktop.
2. 2. If you are using QuickTime to take a screen recording, and your Mac is running on macOS Catalina and later, you may find the screen recordings from ~/Library/ScreenRecordings.

If you tried these places and couldn't find the videos you recorded before, you'd better try another tool to record videos on your device.

We recommend EaseUS RecExperts as this screen recorder for Mac and Windows will lead you to the recording list after the recording process is finished. In this way, you don't need to worry about losing the file. Download it from the button below right now!

After downloading this tool, you may follow the steps below to start recording on Mac:

Step 1. Launch EaseUS RecExperts on your Mac. Choose the recording mode by clicking on "Full Screen" or "Region".

Step 2. Hit the "Sound" icon from the bottom left side of the toolbar to choose audio resources to capture. You may choose the "System sound" or "Microphone" or both of them at the same time.

Step 3. To customize the export format and recording quality, you may click "Settings" from the main interface. Then, scroll down to customize the settings as you like.

Step 4. Click on the "REC" button to start recording. Once done, click the "Stop" button to finish. Then, the recording list window will appear automatically, and you can watch or manage the recordings here.
