Hi there! I can certainly tell you that FaceTime won't notify others when you screen record FaceTime calls.
However, it doesn't necessarily mean it is ethical or legal to do so without the other person's consent. In some areas, recording a conversation without other parties' permission might be illegal, especially if the recording is being done for malicious or deceptive purposes.
So, if you are going to screen record FaceTime calls, you'd better inform others beforehand and obtain their consent. In this way, it can not only avoid legal issues but also show your respect for others.
Now, you know that FaceTime will not notify others when you are recording the screen. Then, it's time to learn how to record FaceTime on your devices.
1️⃣For macOS devices:
If you're going to record FaceTime on Mac, you can use a powerful Mac screen recorder called EaseUS RecExperts. This software enables you to capture video calls with audio using a few simple steps. Besides, it offers a schedule recording feature that can start and stop screen recording at a specific time you set before.
- Download and install this software on your Mac, then join a FaceTime call.
- Click the monitor on the left panel, and choose your desired recording region.
- When you are ready, hit the REC button to start recording.
2️⃣For iOS devices
If you want to screen record FaceTime on an iPhone or iPad, you can use the built-in iOS screen recorder directly. Here's the guide:
- Swipe down from the top right of your screen and press the Screen Recording button
- Join a video call and hit the Screen Recording button again.
