AnsweredHow to Play AVI Files on Mac? Any Help? - Solved

I switched to Mac about a year ago, and while I adore the sleek design and user-friendly interface, playing AVI files seems to be a bit of a challenge. I've tried the default player but had no luck. Can you tell me how to play AVI files on Mac? Thanks a lot!

Hi! I've been there before and I cannot open AVI videos with QuickTime Player on my Mac. Luckily, there are a lot of excellent AVI players for Mac,:

  • VLC Player (free and open-source)
  • EaseUS RecExperts (free and easy to use)
  • IINA Player (for light users)
  • Elmedia Player
  • ...

All those programs allow you to open your AVI files effortlessly on Mac devices. You can also use these tools to play media files in other formats, including MP4, MKV, M4A, and more. I prefer to play my video and audio files with EaseUS RecExperts, as it is completely free.

As a professional Mac AVI player, this software lets you adjust the playback speed from 0.5X to 2.5X with simple clicks to improve your watching experience. What's more, it supports a wide range of media file formats, like MOV, MKV, OGG, etc., which means you are able to play other files flexibly. If needed, you can even use it to capture anything on your Mac screen!

  • Install and open this software on your Mac device
  • Click Recordings and Import to load the AVI file.
  • Once done, you can enjoy the AVI movies.

That's my answer to this question. I hope you can solve your problem with it!
